I recently have been going through a really dark and frightening transition in my life, one that I didn’t want to even consider looking at,but needless to say life is about change and we cannot deny it. The Change I’m referring to has been coming for a while now and like it or not My Husband of 22 years and I will be going through a Divorce.
At first all of this was heart breaking and scary and I felt so alone but something came over me. “YOU DON’T HAVE TO DO THIS ALONE”
I talked to God,
I asked for guidance, here’s what I got.
First I had a comforting sensation and a reassuring feeling that everything will be ok. I was guided to look into my own darkest part of my heart shedding light on what it is I’m still holding onto. What it is that is causing my pain. What I saw was a refusal to love. I saw a great fear of my own wellbeing and future. I saw how my fear kept me in a small, trapped angry place and that loving was not possible as long as I held on to this fear. Trusting is not possible as long as I refused to love and loving is only accessible when I first love myself completely.
My realizations came to me in the middle of the night. I immediately woke my husband up and said "what would all of this look like if we just refuse to hurt each other"?
What if we both look out for the other and do our very best to share love and kindness and support through this transition? What is possible in the way of moving through one of life’s most terrifying events with the love and support of each other. He is a good man and I know his heart so I knew he would get it.
 He did.

We did, and our now so frightening experience can shift into fantastic friendship. We have decided that we can help set each other up so that our lives can reflect this love. We can be peace in the middle of the chaos. We can speak our truth from our hearts and know that everything will be ok. We don’t have to do it alone, asking for guidance along the way,
we can both feel loved and supported not only by each other but by the wonderful God force that wants us to ALL just be happy.

    Beautiful!! I wouldn't want it any other way but, we don't all have the biggest of hearts. For me, I have no hate for anyone or anything.
    I have always seen you and always will see you as this amazingly strong and beautiful woman.

The Answer to the Universe

I woke up this morning and realized something spectacular.  The love I’m waiting for is me.  I remember hearing this years ago and at that point it had an impact however, as all things come and go, I completely forgot.  I’ve been wandering around this planet looking for my love, looking for my passion, looking for my purpose, and going to bed at night feeling empty, dissatisfied, sad.  Something shifted and this morning feels different.  I feel excited!  I feel alive!  I feel like singing to the world what a beautiful amazing day it is.  I remembered.  How completely simple and profound. Superlove Superdome

Superdome Super Love Memory 2008 I was invited to teach yoga in the superdome. At that point I had been teaching for almost a decade and was honored and excited to be one on the many teachers invited. Eve Ensler the creator of the Vagina Monologues had wanted to turn the Super dome into a super love event in honor of her monologue productions 10 year anniversary. She chose the superdome because of the tragic events that occurred there during the Hurricane Katrina. The intention was to invite all those who survived the horrific catastrophe and bring them in for a new experience of love and nurturing. The wellness suites were filled with massage therapists and yoga teachers, aromatherapy, meditation and beauticians. The superdome was turned into a giant pink vagina.
