The great forgetting

Image
The great forgetting.  I woke with words floating in my brain. Do you know who you are? Do you know how magnificent you truly are?  Do you know the power you possess? These are questions for every human on this planet. We are all gorgeous, amazing, wondrous, beings who came here to experience our light in a world of chaos, darkness, and illusion.  We wanted to know if we could do it.  We wanted to try our luck in all different types of scenarios just to see how we would do.  Each time we succeed and get close to knowing who we really are our game ends.  Then we go through the amnesia once again and start over.  Over and over until one day we decide not to, then we find other ways to entertain ourselves.  Maybe watch in on our friends who are having a life and whisper in their ear when they are in the middle of a turbulent episode.  We whisper ~ Do you know who you really are?  Do you kno...

Be the change

Image
The best thing you can do for the world is live an extraordinary life. Live a life full of love and inspiration and joy. What filter are you looking through? When you wake up in the morning are you excited for a new wonderful day of opportunity or are you dreading getting out of bed. Do you see the amazing potential in each new morning, is there gratitude for another day of living or is it a painful experience flooded with regret and dread for all that you worry about. Paying attention to the subtle feelings coursing through your system will be an indicator of what it is you are allowing in your thoughts. Thoughts that are kind, peaceful, loving, generous will create a world of sweet peace, an experience of love and generosity. What you focus on directly creates your experience. Bringing yourself back to the knowing that you are so much more than your body or your circumstance. This life is temporary and you are going to die. Eventually all of the things that consume you wi...

The Veil

Image
The veil was thin. Like looking out of a massive window, draperies pulled back with only a sheer window curtain to see though. The view was spectacular and slightly out of focus. Seeing was only a small part but feeling was where the true "other" world resides. Standing in the middle of nature experiencing all of it at once was so overwhelming and so delightful. I felt as if this little part of the world was created just for me and my exact experience. The birds were singing to me, they felt my appreciation and gratitude for their music. The plants grew for my pleasure, they felt me and loved me for loving and admiring them. The wind blew around me as a way of greeting me and welcoming me into this new day. My eyes were picking up such vibrant colors I had to close them. What I sensed was a miraculous word, one that is exactly the same as our world only more intensified and communicative. As I stood quietly in my yard absorbing this magic I simply wanted to stay put. To do...

Ducks in water

Image
Duck in water We have these fuzzy little ducks. We bought a pair from the local tractor supply store as an experiment of our ability to raise a couple birds for our pond. They have been living in our garage in a pen of hay under a heat lamp. Each day they grow a little and develop new feathers. After a month of being land animals, and waddling around on their weird little feet, I decided it was time to let them swim. At first I was a little worried since there wasn’t a mother duck to teach them to swim. What if they didn’t know what to do. What if they didn’t know they were ducks and instead thought they were dogs since the only animals they have been around were my 5 dogs. What if they drown? We carefully placed them in my huge soaker tub and whaalaa. They swam brilliantly. They floated, they dove, they chased each other around the tub squawking in delight. They were made to swim, their weird little feet that could only waddle on land were perfectly graceful in water.   Wa...
